Louisa has been working out with us since August 2023!

Louisa lives (& lifts!) in Maine!
Louisa usually works out after work around 5-6pm — early mornings are NOT her thing!
She LOVES to deadlift — they make her feel powerful!
Louisa lives vicariously through both her housemate and her mom for doggie time with her pups Scarlet (pictured), Stevie, and Penny!
What goals have you accomplished with Supple Strength? What kind of progress have you made so far?
‘Most of my big goals are related to gaining strength in squatting, benching, and deadlifting. I know for sure that both my deadlifts and squats have improved a lot.
For example, as of Oct 2024, I am able to squat 165lb for sets of 6 at RIR 4, and when I started in Aug 2023 the same set of 6 at RIR 4 would have been at around 145-150lb.
Overall, I've been able to make sustainable, steady progress with Supple Strength.
What brought you to Supple Strength? What makes you stick around?
‘I had been training consistently for several years with no program before joining Supple Strength.
I felt very burned out and bored and wanted to make more progress. I had been following Susie for a while, and her approach and philosophy around fitness and training really resonated with me.
Her program was affordable and checked the boxes of what I was seeking in a program — a focus on the main lifts (SBD), but also an emphasis on a holistic approach to strength training informed by the perspective and knowledge of a DPT.’
I've really enjoyed getting outside my comfort zone and trying more rotational movements, plyometrics and power moves.
I've gotten a LOT stronger at deadlifting and squatting since starting, and Susie has helped a lot with providing form tips and cues that have prompted me to make helpful adjustments and tweaks.
I also LOVE the RPE/RIR based training the program uses, because I feel a lot less burned out than I did when I wasn't on a program.
‘Another huge reason I love SS is that the program is really flexible and works for my lifestyle. I have a demanding full-time job, family, social life, and other hobbies, so I’m grateful for Supple Strength's flexibility and the way I'm able to fit it into my life.’
